Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil team with Charity of the Year RSF team

You may have seen on our social media channels that our followers voted for Ryedale Special Families (RSF) to be our charity of the year. We’re delighted to report that our fundraising got off to a great start this weekend when a team of 16 colleagues, friends and family walked the 44-mile-long Wold Rangers Way in relay and raised over £2,000 in the process.

In total, we’re hoping to raise over £3000 for the fabulous Malton based charity that supports families of children and young people with disabilities and additional needs in Ryedale, and this week we’re heading off to Harrogate to start the second part of our fundraising drive.

As in prior years, we have developed a limited-edition Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil product to support our Charity of the Year. 35p from the sale of each bottle will be donated to Ryedale Special Families. We will be launching the new Lemon, Garlic, Oregano and Thyme Oil at the iconic Great Yorkshire Show this week and we’re super excited as this will be our tenth year of exhibiting at this fabulous spectacle.

The versatile and delicious oil is perfect for roasting vegetables, marinading meat and fish for your summer barbecues or drizzled as a dressing.

We’re also planning more events to raise money and we have set up a Just Giving page https://bit.ly/YROJustGivingRSF – if you are able to donate any amount, however small, we’d be very grateful and we know that Rob, pictured below and the RSF team will be too.

Ryedale Special Families began in the early 1990’s when a group of 20 families of disabled children started to meet in their own homes in order to share challenges and experiences, as well as offer mutual support to each other. It became a registered charity in 1997 and now provides support to 350 families throughout the Ryedale area.
