The team at North Breckenholme Farm are celebrating after learning that our Oak Smoked Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil has been shortlisted in the deliciouslyorkshire Taste Awards.
The oil has reached the final in the Best Pantry category in what is regarded as the largest food and drink awards programme in the region.
“Our Oak Smoked Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil is a fantastic collaboration between us and Staal Smokehouse and has been one of our most popular products for over a decade. We’re super proud to be shortlisted and always look forward to the awards dinner – it’s a great opportunity to meet up with fellow food and farming businesses,” said our founder, Adam Palmer, pictured.
Head Judge, BBC Broadcaster and artisan food expert Nigel Barden said: “Yet again Yorkshire has come up trumps! Thanks to a record number of entries again this year we’ve had the pleasure of judging a huge variety of top-quality Yorkshire food, drink and businesses and as ever, narrowing it down into a shortlist for each category has been a challenge!”
Fellow finalists include Side Oven Bakery, Yockenthwaite Farm and Henderson’s.
We will find out who has won at a dinner at the Pavilions of Harrogate on Wednesday, 9th November, when Nigel Barden and chef consultant, Steph Moon will host an evening of champagne, local food and celebration.
We have also been shortlisted in the Family Business of the Year category of the York Press Business Awards and we will learn whether they we been successful on 25th November.
Wish us luck!
