The team at Breckenholme are celebrating after its founders were shortlisted in the annual deliciouslyorkshire Taste Awards.
Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil and Charlie & Ivy’s founders, Adam and Jennie Palmer, have been shortlisted in the Food Hero category for people who have ‘gone above and beyond’ to promote Yorkshire food and drink in what is referred to as the largest and most respected food and drink awards in the region.
Adam Palmer said: “We’re naturally very proud to be nominated and shortlisted for the Food Hero award promoting Yorkshire’s amazing producers and produce is something we’re really proud to do. We’ve seen so much support from others across the years, it’s such an amazing community.
“We’re even more excited that our brand-new Plant Based Mayonnaise has been shortlisted in the Free From category, it’s our first venture into the plant based market and we’re delighted that the judges loved it as much as we do.
“Whatever happens awards-wise, the dy awards events are always great fun and a good night will be had by all!”
Nominations for the Food Hero award are made by Yorkshire food and drink businesses and the winner will be decided by a public vote. The winners will be announced at an awards dinner at the Pavilions of Harrogate on Wednesday, 10th November, when Nigel Barden and Steph Moon will host an evening of champagne, local food and celebration.
Wish us luck!
